The Agency strives to provide information related to Tehama County’s solid waste programs, plans, elements and progress towards reducing the amount of waste entering the landfill, and conserving natural resources while protecting human health and the environment.

Interested in local solid waste issues?  The Tehama  County Integrated Waste Management Task Force currently has four member seats vacant. Qualified applicants should have an interest or expertise in solid waste issues and live in Tehama County.  Members would serve a one-year unpaid term, with meetings occurring twice a year. The Tehama County Solid Waste Management Agency will hold a free Passenger Tire Collection Event on Saturday, September 19th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Locations include the Los Molinos Transfer Station, Aramayo Way, Los Molinos; Tehama County/ Red Bluff Landfill, 19995 Plymire Rd. Red Bluff; as well as the Manton and Rancho Tehama Transfer Stations.

The following limitations apply to the event: Tehama County Residents Only; Can haul up to 9 tires without exemption, 20 tires with exemption; MAXIMUM of 40 tires per property will be accepted; Tires must be OFF-the-Rim; No large truck tires, equipment tires, off-road tires; No tires larger than 17”

No oil, paint, batteries, appliances, or other items; No tires from waste tire generating businesses. This event is being funded by a grant from CalRecycle.
